Jamaican duo Equiknoxx's sound is bold, with their futuristic, experimental take on dancehall, they twist jagged riddims with a singular sense of sound design, using icy drum beats, UFO synths and eerie bird calls (their signature) to make dancehall as fluid and sinister as Terminator 2’s T-1000. At times their music jumps from dancehall traditions to the same dark heights as Forest Swords, but more often it simply sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard.
We're excited to welcome them alongside vocalist Shanique Marie to Dimensions 2017. Performing in Mungo's arena on the Thursday as part of Mala's stage take over - their set is sure to take you on a journey different from any other you've been on before.
