Wasup world,
Abstrakt Sounds is currently on a hiatus but we present you the long waiting The Abstrakt Sounds Of Japan Vol 1 where we dig deep into obscure sounds of Japan of the 1960s and 1970s. Blending Japanese traditional instruments with funky rhythms, Jazz and more. Towards 1970 Japanese artists primarily copied western artists such as The Beatles and Bob Dylan and fully sang in English. This drastically changed when groups like Happy End started to sing in Japanese. It was like a new world opened up for Japanese artists to express themselves in their native tongue. This resulted in a mix of genres and instruments to be used. Not loosing touch with the rich history of Japanese musical instruments such as the Shamisen (banjo) , koto (harp), Toiko (drum) and Shakuhachi (flute) and more.
Stay tuned for more and follow Abstrakt Sounds on instagram at abstraktworldwide
PEACE
